Egypt Nile CruiseThe Egypt options are - An amazing 14 night tour of Egypt combining a Nile Cruise, all the sights and a beach resort or a 7 night Nile Cruise. A synsposis of the 14 night tour is as follows-
Alternatively you can choose a 7 day Nile Cruise only or a 7 day beach resort only. For both options direct flights are available from Gatwick or Manchester direct to Luxor. Areas of interest and your cabin on the Nile Cruise.Day 1 - Monday: Arrive at Luxor International Airport at 18.20. Transfer to the Nile cruise ship for embarkation. Check-in and overnight. Day 2 - Tuesday: Early morning sail to Esna and pass the lock followed by a relaxing afternoon sailing to Edfu. Day 3 - Wednesday: Visit the temple of Edfu and sail to Kom Ombo. Sail to Aswan for the evening. Day 4 – Thursday: Visit the High Dam, the unfinished Obelisk and the temple of Philae. In the afternoon visit the Botanical gardens of Aswan by felucca. Day 5 - Friday: Morning free or possibility to visit the temples of Abu Simbel by air (extra) Mid afternoon sail to Kom Ombo to visit the temple and sail to Edfu. Day 6 – Saturday: Sail to Esna and pass the lock followed by an relaxing afternoon sailing to Luxor. Day 7 – Sunday: Cross to the west bank and visit the valley of the Kings, valley of the Queens, the Hatshepsut temple and the Colossi of Memnon. Return back to the ship for lunch followed by an afternoon free at leisure. Day 8 - Monday: Disembarkation after breakfast. Visit the Karnak and Luxor temples on the east bank. In the afternoon, transfer to Luxor Train Station to board the Sleeper Train to Cairo. Day 9 – Tuesday: Arrive in Cairo and drive to the Pyramids area to visit the Pyramids & the Sphinx. After the visit transfer to the Hotel and check-in. In the evening dinner is at local restaurant. Day 10 – Wednesday: Visit the Egyptian Museum, the Citadel of Saladin, the Mohamed Ali Mosque and the Khan El Khalili bazaars. After the visit fly from Cairo to Hurghada in the evening and check-in at the Hotel. Day 11 – Thursday until day 14 - Sunday: Free at leisure at your leisure to enjoy the amazing 5* luxury all-inclusive resort. Day 15 – Monday: Check-out after breakfast. Drive by minibus to Luxor and transfer to Luxor Airport for final departure. If you choose the 7 night Nile Cruise only, on day 8 your details are as follows – Day 8 - Monday: Disembarkation after breakfast. Visit the Karnak and Luxor temples on the east bank. The Our winter 2008 09 programme will be based on 2 nights in Cairo (half board), flights to Luxor, 7 nights on Nile Cruise from Luxor (full board), 5 nights in Hurghada (half board), flights back to Cairo and connecting through to London. Extras to budget for are a £20 entry visa plus tips per day. The service you receive in Egypt is excellent (not having to lift a bag, on buses, in the boat and hotels etc), therefore a daily amount of £5 will be suggested for tips, which can be divided by al the local staff concerned. Once you experience the friendly Egyptain people and their service, you will no doubt agree the tips are worth while. |
