Red Sea RivieraEgypt’s wonderful Red Sea resorts are becoming ever more popular, especially for winter breaks because of the virtually guaranteed sun – and the great value. The Red Sea Riviera offers fabulous weather, with daytime winter temperatures typically between 20-26° C while the sea itself is in the mid 20°s C throughout the year! Sharm El Sheikh sits on the tip of the Sinai desert peninsula, beside a sparkling turquoise sea. Behind Sharm the desert landscape climbs up to the peaks of Mount Catherine and Mount Sinai itself, while the coastal oases are bordered by palm trees and carefully-tended gardens. Egypt really does offer superb value and you will find a high staff to guest ratio for attentive and friendly service. This winter we have a choice of hotels. Our new find, the friendly Viking Club Hotel will suit some because of its smaller size. We’re also returning to the luxurious Baron Resort with its five-star facilities for those who want to splash out. Both holidays are offered on an All-inclusive basis because – well, simply because it would be silly to overlook such outstanding value! There’s also a choice of 7, 10 and 14 night breaks to suit, depending on how much time you can take out of your schedule this winter. St Catherine’s MonasterySet at the foot of Mount Sinai and dating back to the first century AD, this beautiful building is still lived in by monks and is an amazing excursion. Boat tripsThere is a host of different boat trips on offer, including visits to the underwater Ras Mohammed National Park, a brilliant place for snorkeling. DivingThere are plenty of dive options on the Red Sea, from taster sessions to full PADI Open Water courses. Ask for more information. Viking ClubSharm El Sheikh
“I was pleasantly surprised by the all-round quality of this friendly hotel, especially the large rooms.” Colum McLornan, Friendship Travel MD
The Hotel The Rooms The hotel’s pools - both outdoor – will be more than enough for some guests, but there is also a free shuttle to the beach at fixed times. Here, you’ll find sun loungers especially for guests of the Viking Club Hotel. The rooms are particularly spacious for single occupancy, with garden views and balconies. We’ve received some very good reports about the food here, with an extensive buffet at every meal so that you can choose what you like. The staff are attentive and the atmosphere young and fun. It is just five minutes’ stroll from the bright lights of Naama Bay with a good choice of bars and clubs for a lively nightlife. The Viking Club Hotel really does seem to offer the best of all worlds for single travellers, and at an excellent price. We hope you’ll join us here. Our All-inclusive package
