We will play on the Resort’s two 18-hole championship courses designed by Frenchman Michel Gayon: the ‘old’ course opened in 1997 and the ‘new’ course created in 2005. Both offer rolling terrain, with clever use of the trees and umpteen lakes as well as the many bunkers. The fairways are variously described as narrow, tree-lined and ‘challenging’!
Each of our weeks will be hosted by Brenda, our golf-playing Friendship regular, who can answer all your golf-specific questions about spikes (soft only please) and trolleys (available for hire). Brenda will play alongside you during the week and ensure that all goes well. Email her your golf questions at Brenda@frienshiptravel.com. For questions about accommodation or flights, call the usual number.
As well as great golf, the Gloria has a Thalassotherapy centre, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, fitness centre, Turkish bath, tennis and other land sports to try. At the beach you will find water-skiing, jet-skis, water-skiing and para-gliding and more (all at extra cost).
We have chosen Half Board, with breakfast each morning and a leisurely dinner each evening: plenty of opportunity to debate the pros and cons of club choice and shot selection. If you wish, you can opt for All-inclusive arrangements at a supplement of £32 per day.
The Golf
You must have a handicap certificate to take part in this holiday. For men, the highest handicap is 28, for women it is 36. The Old Course is Par 72, 6181 metres; the New Course is Par 72, 6239 metres. We include green fees for 4 rounds of golf during the week. Email Brenda@frienshiptravel.com with further golf-related questions. Tournament? 4 ball better ball? What sort of golf will Brenda suggest?
