 Holiday ConceptRelaxed Friendship House-partiesWe have five houseparties this summer (Small hotels of 30 rooms or less), where Friendship take over the property (some on an exclsuive basis, some not) and please ourselves what we do! The Friendship Travel management team works very closely with the hotel owners and staff to ensure many of our tried and tested systems are put in place, to ensure all our clients have an excellent holiday. Our houseparty hotels are not officially star-rated and each one is different. The hotels include:
There is at least one Friendship host on hand – often two – to ensure that everyone gets the most out of their holiday. Each resort has its own attractions, but the emphasis is on long lazy days by the pool – or exciting excursions if you prefer! Either way, we come together in the evening for good food (4 courses), good wine (half a bottle per person) and good conversation. The first-ever Friendship holiday was in Turkey and it continues to be our most popular option, with departures every week in summer. European and Middle East hotelsThe same laid-back approach applies to our star-rated hotel holidays in Spain, Greece, Egypt, The Canaries and in Italy, although of course we do not have the free run of the hotel. Most holidays are half board (breakfast and dinner with wine) and one or two are all-inclusive. Do as little or as much as you like, in the company of others who share your interests - and compare notes each evening on what everyone has been up to! Our Nile Cruise, with great add-ons in Cairo and the Red Sea is very popular. Here, Friendship travellers join other guests on one of the most comfortable and reliable boats on the mighty river. Our Gulet holidays are great fun and very different. Each of our exclusively-contracted traditional boats sleeps up to eleven Friendship travellers and sails along the Turkish coast. Gulet cruises include all meals and water with dinner. Your Friendship hosts are the Turkish crew, who sail the boat and create the meals. This is not a luxurious cruise, but a fun and adventurous experience you’ll never forget! Laid-back and unstructuredThat’s what our holidays are all about. Just because you’re travelling alone you shouldn’t have to join a ‘special interest’ holiday or organised tour. On our wide variety of winter holidays, we may share accommodation with other guests but there’s almost always a Friendship host on hand – please read on. UK BreaksPerfect if you’re a first-timer who isn’t sure what to expect from Friendship. And ideal if you’re a regular guest who can’t wait to meet up with old friends. Our typical format is that your Friendship host arranges a welcome drink, at least one very good dinner – with wine – and usually an included excursion. We also make sure there is free time to mingle or do your own thing – whatever you please. European citybreaksWe arrange your scheduled flight – from your local airport if it’s available - and pick you up at the airport. Your Friendship host is on hand throughout the weekend to suggest sightseeing options and favourite restaurants we might like to eat at together. As to sightseeing, you choose what to do, whether it’s a city tour, an art gallery or a nightclub. Ski weeksOur ski weeks deliver high-altitude fun with a house-party atmosphere in catered chalet-hotels. We include charter flights, transfers, breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner (with wine) as well as ski hosting. You can ski as much – or as little – as you like, leaving plenty of time for that key ingredient These are active, sociable holidays and many Friendship skiers have been well looked after by our local hosts over the years. Worldwide adventuresWhy shouldn’t single travellers go long haul? We have searched high and low to find single-friendly holidays where you can feel secure and don’t have to take out a second mortgage. Each destination offers something very different, from Le Sport’s Body Holiday to our Kenya safari, so please read the individual holiday descriptions to see what is included. On worldwide adventures, we take advantage of the resort’s own friendly staff to meet and greet you and provide support during your trip. In this respect, the holidays are perhaps more suited to confident travellers who are happy to mix and mingle ‘unsupervised’. Are flights included?We can access a huge range of charter, scheduled and low-cost flights and the prices vary hugely, depending on where you are flying from and when you book and travel. On 90% of holidays the flights are included in the price - check the price tables for further details. On other holidays where the flights are not shown - The price shown is a guide, but the air fare might be higher or lower depending on the flight you want us to book. When we book a flight inclusive holiday it is financially protected by our bonding with the Civil Aviation Authority ATOL License 6683. Loe cost flights are not protected by our ATOL bonding.
