Club Abamar Water sports resort

This unspoiled Mediterranean island is Italian in flavour yet proudly different. Secluded sandy coves are lapped by emerald seas and pine forests rise to meet the rugged mountains of the interior.

Club Abamar is a simple, friendly British-run watersports centre set on a long stretch of white sand with the hills of the Sette Fratelli National Park as a backdrop, and just 45 minutes drive from Cagliari, the island’s historic capital.

Exhilarating watersports are at the heart of this sun-filled holiday, with expert tuition and all equipment included: the centre is recognised by the Royal Yachting Association and offers PADI scuba diving too.

There’s always something going on here, but if you fancy lazing by the lovely pool or reading a book under an umbrella pine tree in the garden, no-one will nag you!

Don’t miss the chance to explore further afield and catch the bus to San Margherita di Pula (the local town) or Cagliari – there are Roman ruins to explore, mountains to climb and wildlife to spot, including flamingos and seals.

We have dates to suit everyone – Club Abamar is an adult-only haven outside of July and August. Previous guests may like to know that we know only book standard double/twin rooms for sole use – not the small singles.

The centre’s staff look after Friendship guests really well, from organising airport transfers and watersports sessions to helping you explore the island with mountain bike hire or a round of golf.
