St.Anton - Austria.
A busy resort in a splendid location, St Anton lives up to its reputation as the place for big skiing, soft snow and serious nightlife.
In St Anton skiers are perfectly placed to enjoy Austria's most exciting skiing. Although St Anton is best known as a resort for experienced skiers and snowboarders, beginners need not be deterred as there are nursery slopes on the edge of the village and 34 easier runs to conquer.
For those who want adventure, the Valluga cable car climbs in two stages from the resort centre to span a series runs. Inexperienced skiers need not be deterred: there are wide nursery slopes on the edge of the village. Intermediates will find friendly terrain at Gampen, Rendl and St. Christoph, and enjoy the long blast down to Stuben.
Off the slopes St Anton is a delightful mix of old and new architecture with inviting shops lining a pedestrianised main street. You could mistake it for a quiet town until the evening, that is, when St Anton really lights up, with something to suit every mood.
Resort information and nightlife
Looking good! Traditional charm, a splendid location and serious nightlife are the backdrop for big skiing, freeriding and the chance of some world class off-piste action. BY day St Anton is a quaint and peaceful town but when evening comes the legendary apres-ski scene takes over. There's a great atmosphere in the bars at the foot of the slopes and later you can join the party in the pubds and clubs including renowed Moosewirt bar and Scotty's Bar.
