Better weather predicted for Britain next week Record wet weather has hit Britain hard in July and a number of festivals and events have suffered as a consequence. But forecasters have some good news, reporting better weather on its way next week.

A gloomy July has seen a massive amount of rainfall across the UK, with meteorologists claiming the reason behind the wet weather was the jet stream lying further south than normal at this time of year, creating low pressure and sweeping rain along with it. But it is hoped the jet stream is finally on its way north, creating higher pressure and returning Britain to ‘a normal summer’.

Should warmer weather arrive in time for the Olympics, it will provide a great excuse for Britons to escape to the fabulous British countryside and away from the hustle and bustle of London’s heaving city centre.

The likes of the Yorkshire Dales and New Forest in Dorset are just some of the beautiful locations available to take advantage of in the summery weather for your singles holidays.
