Croatia tourism figures make for positive reading Despite coming up against mighty strong competition, Croatia has recorded the strongest tourism growth this year on the Mediterranean, according to the country’s daily newspaper Jutarnji list.

The official results for the first six months of 2012 were presented by Croatia’s Minister of Tourism Velijko Ostojic this week, and he believes the good news doesn’t stop there.

Mr Ostojic was ‘optimistic’ that the nation would earn 7 billion Euros from tourism at the end of the season, continuing an encouraging trend for the country.

Croatia was the only nation apart from Spain to achieve positive growth in the tourism industry, whilst arrivals increased by 3.84 per cent and in July alone, there were 3.07 million people welcomed.

The figures show international travellers are increasingly becoming enchanted by the Mediterranean hot spot. Come and check it out whilst on your singles holidays for an unforgettable vacation.
