With the uncertainty of whether to have a holiday or not, travel abroad or stay at home, there is always the option of a staycation!

Friendship Travel has successfully run a couple of UK events during September where our guests have enjoyed a weekend away from it all! We adhere to the guidelines and ensure we stick to social distancing, but it has not taken the experience away from our guests who felt it was organised, safe and relaxed.

Recent UK staycation events with Friendship Travel

Just a couple of weeks ago, we had a group stay at the Daventry Court Hotel. This was an active weekend where they got to explore Oxford with a private walking tour. This was followed by free time to wander, with options to enjoy some lunch down by the river, take in more sights or simply stroll through the old university city.

The following day was a visit to the World heritage site of Blenheim Palace. With so much to see in this historic house and gardens, guests were able to walk around in groups at their own pace.

Evenings were a more chilled atmosphere with guests dining together in appropriate groups.

So if you would just like to get away from it all for a few days, and maybe love exploring a new town with guided walks, or even relaxing in a hotel and enjoying a spa treatment, check out our UK breaks on our website. We have our ‘End of Summer’ relaxation weekend on 31st October, and a few options for UK Christmas breaks.

As always you will have your host to greet you with a warm smile and let you know what options you have for making the most of your stay, no matter if you choose to join in with the activities or go for a more relaxed and chilled experience.

Evenings may be a bit different as you won’t be able to be a disco diva this year, however, there will be various other entertainments for you depending on the hotels, and as always you will be dining with and enjoying the company of other like-minded guests.

Things may be a bit different to the ‘normal’ we are used to at the moment, however, you can still have fun and be well looked after on a weekend away!

If you are interested in a weekend to Northamptonshire and an organised visit to the aforementioned Blenheim Palace, we would for you to travel with us on one of our fantastic cheap singles holidays to the area.
