Greece is expecting to break another tourism record for 2017.

With the tourist season starting to kick off in the ancient and sun-soaked country, Greece is trying not to jinx their chances of another record year for tourism.

They have already managed to set a record of 27.5 million guests during 2016, but if estimates hold, Greece could see up to 30 million in 2017.

Travelling German’s could be a huge contribution to this increase, as their number could perhaps triple from 1 million in 2015, according to the tourism ministry.

With its stunning beaches, and ancient historical sites, Greece has long been a popular holiday for singles abroad, with British, French, and Austrian tourists being particularly inclined to visit, along with the aforementioned Germans.

The government is also projecting that tourism revenue could increase by as much as 50 percent during 2017.
