SETE, which is Greece’s biggest tourism business association, has set out a plan to push the country into the top ten tourist destinations in the world.

Andreas Andreadis, chief of SETE, spoke recently about the hopes for the nation at the Delphi Economic Forum as reported in neoskosmos.com.

“SETE has submitted a road map for the Greece of 2021 to all relevant authorities so that the number of visitors to our country can reach 35 million and revenues reach 19 to 20 billion euros”.

Greece has always been a hot spot for tourism, especially for Europeans looking to catch some summer sun, and take a first-hand look at the country’s stunning historical sites. So with this new incentive to make Greece an even more attractive proposition to tourists, these are exciting times indeed.

But it’s not just the top ten that the ancient country has its sights on, with Andreadis also saying, “The vision is for Greece to emerge as the best tourism destination worldwide”.

With its beautiful beaches, rich history, and this new determination to take the country to the highest of highs, it’s no surprise to see Greece continue to be a magnet for singles abroad on holiday.
