Have you ever considered taking a cruise? Latest figures and polls have shown that cruises are becoming more popular with single travellers.
A number of cruise experts have reported that cruises are becoming an increasingly popular option for a singles holiday. A Cruise Critic UK poll revealed that 5 per cent of participants would consider going on a solo cruise, and CLIA (the Cruise Lines International Association) found that 2.4 per cent of guests on North American cruises in 2014 were travelling alone, more than in previous years.
Cruises are a fantastic option for solo travel. Many cruise lines offer accommodation that is designed and priced specifically for single travellers, and amongst the packed entertainment plans there are exclusive events for singles, where you can meet your fellow travellers. Some ships even have special lounge areas where you can leave notes for other solo travellers, perhaps with an offer of trying one of the ship’s speciality restaurants together.
