Officials in Rhodes are celebrating what is being estimated to be the best tourism year for the island, with July indicating a further increase in arrivals.
Thanks to recently confirmed data, 378,380 people arrived on the island during the month; when compared to the 346, 493 last year, it shows a considerable increase of 9%. Britain is one of the countries leading the way in terms of visitor numbers, with Russia and Germany also well represented. With nothing but fine sunshine and gentle breezes on the forecast for the next ten days, it is likely these great tourism levels could continue for a while yet.
