Rise in spending from tourists in Spain Tourism continues to be a vital cog for the troubled Spanish economy, after it was revealed Spain saw a rise in spending by inbound tourists of 7.4 per cent to €9.01 billion during the first quarter of 2012 compared with the same period last year, according to figures from the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourismm as quoted by homebuilding company Taylor Wimpey Espana.
