Prince Harry’s recent overseas trips have been well publicised, but it was his aunt and uncle who have been making the latest headlines with a visit to the beautiful St. Lucia. Edward and Sophie, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, delighted both residents and visitors to the island as they stopped off on their busy two-week tour of the West Indies.

Taking place as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, the trip coincided with Independence Day on the island. The royal couple spent their time there in glorious sunshine, firstly enjoying traditional local performances by young people from the area before visiting the St. Lucia School of Music and talking with the students.

Enjoyed by people all year round, St. Luciais one of the most picturesque islands in the whole of the Caribbeanand is the perfect destination if you are looking to find relaxing holidays for singles.
