It’s that time again, where the singles holidays  summer season comes to an end, and so we are just finishing our last week at the Era hotel.

It’s been an eventful week for our guests, who arrived during a storm, and had to endure another few days of rain at the beginning of their week, but despite all this they all seemed to be in high spirits (or was that the amount of all inclusive drinks they consumed?)

So, not to be put off by the weather, on Tuesday they bartered their way round the local market to pick up a few bargains, and in the evening we carried on our traditional Tuesday Nightshift, with a bit of singing and dancing in the rain!!

Wednesday Ibo and I took a few guests exploring around Fethiye and the ghost village of Kayakoy, and finished the day off on the terrace of the Levissi Wine house enjoying a tasty lunch and a lovely hot drink!

Some guests decided to indulge in a Turkish Bath & an Aromatherapy Oil Massage, the perfect way to relax!

By Thursday the weather improved, and thankfully the rest of the week was back to sunshine, sunbathing, trips to the beach, jeep safari, day out on our VIP Lazy day cruise, and for a couple of guests an adventurous micro light flight.

All guests joined me in Fethiye on Saturday evening, at one of my favourite places to eat – The Megri restaurant.  A superb selection of food, from steaks to seafood washed down with plenty of wine, and great company, a good night was definitely had by all.

Sunday was a special day for one of our guests, who were celebrating his 60thbirthday!!  We surprised him with a cake, and after feeling stuffed from a lovely Roast Beef dinner, we just about managed to squeeze in a slice each! For some the night continued til very late, making the most of their new found friends. Everyone complimented the staff and service at the hotel for a fantastic week!

Era Hotel Turkey with Friendship Travel

So, as we say goodbye to Turkey for the end of summer, we welcome other resorts for the winter season. Farrah (Turkey Host) flew over to host our first week in Cyprus at the King Jason Hotel. With the fantastic facilities they have to offer, indoor heated pool, fitness room, sauna, you were spoilt for choice; to relax in the hotel or to go out and explore Paphos!

Cyprus has plenty to offer from the The Troodos Mountains, to Jeep safaris, various exploration days to visit both Southern or Northern Cyprus, so there is definitely no time to get bored.

As Cyprus will carry on into the Summer 2013 brochure, although the hotel will change, the location will still be Paphos, with even more activities available to enhance your holiday. Farrah decided to go and have a sneak preview of the hotel for herself. What she found was a small and friendly apart hotel, clean and bright with an inviting pool and open air poolside bar. A perfect place to laze in the Cyprus sun.
