Northern Ireland is our home patch, and in this two-centre 3-night package we’ll show you the bright lights of Belfast and the winter beauty of the Causeway Coast. Expect great sights and a late night in the city and extraordinary seascapes, ancient legends and modern myths at Ballycastle… served with a large helping of Irish hospitality!

On Christmas morning, we’ll take you to the Giant’s Causeway, which is rightly a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the extraordinary basalt rock formations supposedly laid down by the mythical Finn MacCool … On the return journey we’ll see the pretty Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, then it’s back to the Marine Hotel for a blow-out Christmas lunch (with wine).

If you fall asleep in front of the fire afterwards, no-one will blame you!

In the evening, we provide a light buffet, and perhaps later we’ll go in search of ‘great craic’ with the locals in one of the town’s traditional ‘spit and sawdust’ bars.

On Boxing Day we take you out on a scenic drive in Games of Throne country, stopping at the famous ‘Dark Hedges’ location. Enjoy a walk on the beach, or try Ballycastle’s nature trail, and after lunch at the hotel, we transfer you back to Belfast airport for your homebound flights

LIVE IN NORTHERN IRELAND or IRELAND?

Join us for a great Christmas break. Drive to Belfast, park your car there and join the party. We will transfer you to Ballycastle and return you to Belfast at the end of the break. Deduct £100 from standard price.

The Premier Inn is right in the heart of Belfast Titanic Quarter and only a short walk to Belfast City Centre. Guests will enjoy a walk around the area where they will see the famous Harland and Wolf shipyard or pop into the SSE Arena for. At night we recommend you take a pleasant stroll along the River Lagan, which is just minutes from the hotel.

The Marine Hotel, Ballycastle is one of the Causeways Coasts finest hotels occupying an unrivalled seafront position. The newly refurbished rooms are warm and welcoming and the charm and traditional feel of the bar makes it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a few drinks. A walk along the beach, maybe after breakfast, is a must and will set you up for the fun day ahead.

Transfers are arranged by shuttle bus directly from the airport to the hotel and back to the airport. Alternatively we offer a private door to door transfer being met by the driver. On our city breaks we can have guests coming into 2 different airports in the city – or at the one airport in 4 different terminals – therefore our host meets you at the hotel once you arrive. We provide full details and directions for the transfers and getting to the hotel.

Your Host knows all the city sights: we especially recommend the Titanic Experience museum, and in the city centre just across the river you’ll find impressive streets and the imposing City Hall. As for nightlife, you’re in the right place! There is a great range of bars to suit all styles.

The next day we’ll take a tour of the city on an open-top bus followed by free time to soak up the festive atmosphere. In the afternoon we transfer to the tranquil setting of the Causeway Coast.

Our base here is the friendly Marine Hotel, in a great spot overlooking the beach. By Christmas all rooms will have been refurbished to the same good standard.
