Popular television programmes can often be a boon to tourism as people clamour to see the places featured for themselves. Poldark helped Cornwall’s tourism, and now, the BBC’s The Night Manager is helping boost travel to Mallorca.

Fans of the mini-series have helped increase travel to the Spanish island. The TV show follows the exploits of a hotel night manager who was recruited by the government to help infiltrate a dangerous crime syndicate. This programme stars Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie.

In addition to Mallorca, the program also spent time in Cairo as well as a rural cottage in Devon. It was based on a 1993 novel by John le Carré.

Here is the programme’s teaser of the episode in Mallorca:

“Increasingly we are seeing travellers head to locations inspired by film and TV locations and The Night Manager is no exception,” Peter Grover from CheapOair UK told the Express. “The destination has not only entered our European top 20 for the first time ever, it’s proving more popular than traditional warm weather locations such as Rome and Tenerife.”

Inspired by the series, holidaymakers want to enjoy the stunning Spanish locales for themselves. They want to experience the idyllic villas, perfect restaurants, and secluded beaches. Much of the show was filmed in and around the southwestern city of Palma.

Just minutes from Palma, the Camp de Mar is the perfect destination for an amazing singles’ holiday. Quiet and private, the golden coves of Camp de Mar are your perfect haven. And when it is time for some great nightlife or shopping, Palma is only a short distance away.
