A recent survey by a large travel comparison website has found that the majority of Brits are planning on heading abroad for their summer holidays despite the jubilee and Olympic celebrations. Some are even eager to get away from the crowds that are expected to flood to theUK.Choose your plans for the British summer with Friendship Travel

The destinations that people are heading for are the usual choices, with the Algarve, Spainand Italyall proving popular, and holidays for singles are remaining a popular choice as well. One reason many are citing for not worrying about being away during the celebrations is that televisions around the world will be broadcasting the Olympics, and news coverage of the jubilee celebrations is likely to be very prominent in certain countries too.
