Holiday in Rhodes

Recently one of our customers went on a singles holiday to Rhodes and they were suitably impressed with their holiday that they left a glowing review.

Here’s what our happy customer had to say:

Hi there,

I have just returned from a glorious week at the Caesar’s Gardens Hotel in Lindos on Rhodes featured by Friendship Travel singles holidays.

I don’t normally ‘wax lyrical’ after a holiday, but the combination of this fabulous hotel with glorious weather and the excellent company of fellow Friendship Travel guests, really made me want to put ‘pen to paper’!

I enjoyed a singles holiday at Caesar’s Gardens four years ago and promised myself I would return one day. I finally made it and wow the hotel has been transformed from a simple three-star property into a luxury four-star hotel without, I hasten to add, not losing any of its charm or friendliness.

All 22 large bedrooms have been completely re-furbished, each different in design and offering luxurious elegant accommodation.

Now, in addition to the large swimming pool, facilities in the newly landscaped gardens include a large bubbling hot tub, plus the Magnolia Spa where I enjoyed a Balinese head massage, the best I have ever had.

The furnishing of the hotel is exquisite – wish I had so much taste (!) – and the attention to detail is second to none. No boring old plastic sun beds here – guests can opt for wooden sun loungers with comfy mattresses, outdoor four-poster beds or ethnic triple linen canopy covered sun beds.

All fellow Friendship Travel solo travellers raved about the food – beautifully prepared breakfasts with fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries and eggs – along with an evening a la carte menu specialising in traditional Greek food and using fresh ingredients from the hotel’s own garden.

As for location, it couldn’t be better. The hotel is situated in a conservation area on a quiet country road at the foot of the hillside. It is so peaceful, the only noise coming from the mountain are goats or the occasional passing car or delivery van.

A gentle walk of around 20 minutes leads in to the pretty seaside village of Lindos itself, a maze of cobbled streets and tiny white houses, overlooked by the magnificent Acropolis of Lindos. The village is also home to superb restaurants, bars and shops, where me and my fellow Friendship companions enjoyed some excellent food and retail therapy.

Finally, I must not forget the Friendship Travel hosts – Julie and Chantelle – two delightful ladies, full of fun and always so professional.

If  you are lucky enough to visit the hotel this summer, check out the two new Executive Mediterranean suites – both set in olive groves and each with a private swimming pool – or the new Executive bungalows each with a private plunge pool. Very tempting…

Will I return?  You bet I will!
