Hi, its Dympna here from Friendship Travel office in Antrim. I am sure I have spoken to many of you in the past and to those I haven’t, hello!
Well, it certainly has been busy in the office these last few days, with the phones ringing and everyone enquiring about singles holidays at Christmas.
We have taken lots of bookings and our newest UK Christmas holiday destination – Manchester – looks set to be a big hit. Mind you, all the other UK Christmas packages – Exeter, Chester and, of course, old-time favourite, Newbury in Berkshire – are selling well.
I reckon our Friendship Travel guests love the sunshine too. Festive packages for singles overseas are ‘flying off the shelves’. Cape Verde has sold out completely and there are limited places left in Lanzarote, Cyprus and Barcelona. So, if you fancy a spot of sunshine this Christmas, get your skates on!
I know our hosts are getting excited about Christmas too and expect to see familiar faces such as Jean, Julie Ann, Sharon and Stan.

The team here in Antrim are all very excited about the new summer programme and love the additions that are on offer to solo travellers next year.
Colum (the boss!) has been far and wide looking for new ideas and has come up with some cracking holidays, including two hotels on Zante – the family-run, two-star plus Apollon Hotel and the four-star boutique Ionian Hill Hotel. I was fortunate enough – along with Helen, Karen and Stacey – to visit both hotels earlier in the year and I reckon you will love them!
Singles holidays will be available to view – and book – online this week and the brochures will be winging their way to you within a couple of weeks. Looks like the Friendship Travel team will be even busier within the next few weeks!
