Great year for tourism predicted across SpainIt is looking to be a fantastic year for tourism across Spain, with recent figures tipping the country to be crowned the top holiday destination for the second year running.

With simply sublime weather, a fine collection of beautiful beaches and mile after mile of unspoilt scenery, mainland Spain and the islands of Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza have never had any problems attracting tourists, with millions landing on their shores for family and singles holidays year after year.

Data has shown that Spain is already proving popular this year, with tourists spending 6.5% more during January 2013 than the same period just 12 months before. With 2012 being the country’s third best year for tourism ever, officials are hoping this upward trend will continue in 2013.

This positive outlook was made sweeter after the Post Office named it as one of the cheapest countries to holiday in, after releasing results of the latest Post Office Worldwide Costs Barometer.
