Holidays in Turkey popular with British touristsAccording to research conducted by Holiday Hypermarket, Turkey is swiftly becoming one of the favourite holiday destinations for British tourists.

Figures from the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office revealed that 2.58 million British people visited Turkey in 2011, making them the 3rd largest group of visitors according to nationality. Things are looking positive for 2012 as well, considering the reported rise in the volume of air traffic as well as the number of new flight routes from the UK to Turkey that have been added this year.

Turkey has plenty of draws for British tourists, particularly those who are looking for holidays for singles. The beautiful coves, clear waters and great value to be found in places like Bodrum and Olu Deniz, along with the relatively short travelling distance for an amazing sunny holiday, make Turkey a fantastic choice for a holiday in the sun.

The rising popularity of Turkey with British holidaymakers certainly looks set to continue well towards the end of 2012.
