
The recipient of the coveted accolade was decided after a series of voting by travel agents across the world, culminating in the 19 World Travel Awards which were held last week. WhileKenyahad to compete against the likes of Egypt, Namibia, Nigeria, Ghana and Morocco, it stayed strong and managed to take home the award.
Over the last two years, The Kenya Tourist Board (KTB) has been receiving impressive results, promoting Kenya as one of the leading tourist destinations in the world. The board has already worked wonders for the country, welcoming 1.8 million arrivals last year to mark an 11% growth since 2010.
