Diani Beach in Kenya has been nominated for Africa’s Leading Beach Destination 2017.

The nomination comes via the World Travel Awards and sees the beautiful Kenyan beach go up against five other top beach destinations from across Africa.

The other nominees are: Bazaruto in Mozambique, Cape Town in South Africa, Plettenberg Bay in South Africa, Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, and Zanzibar in Tanzania.

It is certainly stiff competition, with all countries providing incredibly attractive beaches for would be sun-seekers.

Diani Beach is located on the Indian Ocean coast of Kenya, and about 30 km south of the city of Mombasa.

The picturesque location is perfect for singles on holiday, providing quite the scene with its 10 km long stretch of sand.
