A new website is being set up in an effort to promote tourism and combat the doom and gloom surrounding Greece’s current financial situation.
The website, TrueGreece.org, will allow tourists to share their experiences online, whilst offering free holidays from travel companies to those who report back from their holiday.
Holiday volunteers are also being sought by the website to use their social media know-how and spread the ‘good Greek word’, exploring the benefits of interaction between companies plying their trade in the tourism industry and travellers.
The initiative is part of the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO), who posted an advert on the site posing the question ‘Would you like to assist in helping set the record straight and respond to questions about Greece? Join our Supporters’ team!’
