New Yorkshire Dales bridleway opensThe Yorkshire Dales National Park is an extremely popular destination for people seeking walking holidays; the area is awash with stunning scenery, wildlife habitats, making it ideal for those that enjoy outdoor pursuits. You will find plenty of well signposted and organised paths and trails in the Yorkshire Dales making it perfect for solo holidays particularly for those that enjoy hiking, biking and walking.

A brand new bridleway has just been opened and is the result of over eight years work and effort and has had an investment of £10million to bring it into fruition. The new bridleway is now the third longest national trail and stretches from Middleton Top in Derbyshire right across to the south Pennines.

The opening was performed by the actor Martin Clunes, who is not only known for his appearances in such television programmes as Men behaving badly and Doc Martin, but is also the president of The British Horse Society.

So if you have decided to stay within the UK for your next holiday and enjoy plenty of fresh air and countryside, be sure to head to the Yorkshire dales and visit the Pennines bridleway.
