Portugal has certainly captured the hearts of travel advice website U City Guides, who have rated Portugal amongst their list of top 10 most beautiful countries.
The travel experts from the website voted Portugal as the 6th most beautiful country in the world, beating the likes of other astoundingly beautiful areas such as Australia, Brazil and South Africa.
According to U City Guides, Portugal benefits from a “rare package” of both man-made and natural wonders of outstanding beauty. Areas such as the Algarve gave plenty of coastal beauty to behold, whilst the old centres of Porto and Lisbon provide plenty of more urban sights to see. The country’s variety of sites of interest was one of its winning factors.
It is no surprise then that many people choose to spend solo holidays in Portugal, which also has warm sunshine, fascinating attractions and delicious food to add to its appeal and status as one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
