Promising signs for tourism in Cyprus Tourism in Cyprus is beginning to look fruitful once again, after figures showed a considerable rise in arrivals to the popular holidaying island. The results come from national figures, displaying that revenue from holidaymakers during May reached €214 million, up from €187 million during the same period last year, with the 15% rise suggesting that tourism is certainly looking on the rise.

June looked to continue the trend, with total arrivals reaching 329,977 compared to just over 300,000 that visited the shores during June 2011. In other great news, the annual tourism revenue for the country is at its highest in more than four years, reaching heights of €1.749 billion.
