Record arrivals in Mallorca airport A record number of passengers flew into Balearic airports during July, with 3.4 million sun-seekers heading to Mallorca alone, according to recent figures released by the Spanish government.

The picturesque Spanish island, which is a favourite for many Britons looking for a relaxing break, welcomed the news after it was confirmed its airport would be getting a significant financial investment.

The airport will be getting the larger share of a €162 million investment, with Ibiza’s and Menorca’s gateway to the skies getting less than the hefty €110 million sum being granted to Mallorca, according to Spain’s Minister of Public Works and Transport, Ana Pastor.

The amount to be invested in these Balearic Islands demonstrates their popularity amongst tourists as a holiday destination. So what are you waiting for? Pack up your swimming costume and beach towel and check it out whilst enjoying some unforgettable singles holidays to the region.
