One in three British holidaymakers will go on a singles holiday  in 2015According to an article on the Telegraph, one in three British holidaymakers will go on a singles holiday this year. A columnist from the Telegraph says this is expected to grow.

More and more people could consider singles holidays this year after a piece on the Telegraph website revealed that the singles market is roughly around six million in the UK, with a quarter of all adults never marrying or are divorced or widowed, as well as more and more people deciding to travel without their partners.

The article also states that travelling on your own has benefits as it gives people the opportunity to see places on their own terms, whilst meeting new people that could become friends for life.

The article also notes that the popularity of singles holidays is increasing as there are loads of great solo holidays that are on offer now, and that specialist firms (like Friendship Travel) offer single people the chance to travel to a variety of destinations across the world with great company.
