So you’ve made the decision to go solo on your trip this year. That’s great and there’s sure to be some amazing adventures ahead! Just don’t forget that it’s important to be prepared – do that and you’ll return to the UK with some great stories.

It’s all about the selfie

So, perfect that selfie. Get some practice of the best angle to hold the camera to get surrounding landscapes in with you.

Plan in advance

Learn a bit of the language. Being able to say ‘Hello’, ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ is helpful, along with ‘Do you speak English?’ Locals appreciate it when you make an effort with their language, and as a solo traveller you can socialise with the locals to your heart’s delight.

Have Fun

Last but not least, be confident and have fun. You’re sure to make some incredible memories and more than likely some new friends as well.
