Looking to book a last-minute ski holiday? If you want to get in some quality time on the slopes before the ski season ends, we can’t blame you and are happy to let you know that there are some excellent options to consider. With peak skiing season typically ending in April, now is the time to book your tickets. Below you will find a few excellent options to consider, in both Austria and France, all of which are perfect for a solos holiday.

Austria is a brilliant country to consider for a singles ski holiday and here at Friendship Travel, we have a brilliant resort to recommend.

A peaceful resort in Austria’s Wildschönau Valley, Niederau is a small, traditional village with a laidback atmosphere and some incredible skiing. The slopes are on a stunning tree-lined mountain, known as being one of the prettiest in the valley, and is the perfect location for novice and intermediates, with a beginner’s zone available and challenging runs for all but the most expert skiers. The unspoilt village and countryside will be just the ticket for that last minute singles holiday.

France is a much-loved ski destination, with some of the best resorts and slopes around. If you are looking for a last-minute ski trip, definitely consider the two locations below.

Les Deux Alpes

Les Deux Alpes is set in France’s scenic Dauphine region, featuring a massive ski area of over 200km of pistes. The resort is full of life and energy, attracting visitors for its above-average sunshine and impressive snow levels. The village is 1,650 metres up, with lifts taking skiers up to 3,600 metres. Les Deux Alpes is the second oldest ski resort in France, bringing back visitors year after year, and boasting the largest skiable glacier in Europe. There are easy runs for beginners, as well as plenty of challenges for experienced skiers. Combine that with a resort full of top bars, pubs, and restaurants, and you have a resort not to miss.

Vaujany, Alpe d’Huez

The traditional alpine village of Vaujany in Alpe d’Huez has everything you need for a wonderful last minute ski break. The Alpe d’Huez is the fifth-largest ski area in France and Vaujany delights visitors with its own system of pistes and great links with the larger resort and its connected villages. At Vaujany you can look forward to skiing the Grande Rousses massif, featuring 64km of artificial snow-covered slopes, chalets operated by friendly staff, and excellent restaurants helping to complete the experience.
