Motor racing enthusiasts who are planning on taking singles holidays to the Algarve region this summer will be delighted to hear that the exciting WTCC Race of Portugal has relocated to the area’s Autodromo Internacional stadium.

The event, changed from its original location at the Estoril circuit by the World Motor Sport Council for logistical reasons, will be coming to the track on June 3rd and benefit from the three years of development work which has been taking place around the site.

Excitement has already been building following the recent announcement, with locals excited by the prospect of seeing top Portuguese driver Tiago Monteiro in action, who this season is leading a charge towards potential championship glory.

The world class arena is situated nearby to the beautiful town of Portimao and hosted two World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) races back in 2010, which were well received by the sell-out crowds of spectators.
