The La Placette Hotel is located only a 5 minute walk from the village of Usseaux, called “The hamlet of bread and murals”, with its stone-paved streets, it offers visitors the opportunity to get to know the mountain peasant life up close. This picturesque village showcases fantastic architecture, stone fountains, murals along the alleys and the square of the village with themes ranging from peasant life to the world of nature and animals and to the imaginative characters of fairy tales.

Our artist for this painting week retreat is Luisa Diaz, a professional artist. Painting from an early age Luisa has attended art schools across Europe and then later opened her own studio in Usseaux. She specializes in watercolour, soft pastels and oil techniques.

This 7 night painting retreat includes – 4/5 days of painting tuition, breakfast every day, 6 lunches, dinner every evening, flights from your preferred UK airport and transfers.

Each room and apartment are decorated in a typical mountain style, and fitted with wooden furnishings and terracotta floors. The rooms/apartments are presented perfectly clean with linen, sponge set for each guest and essentials which are included in the price such as wi-fi internet, daily and final cleaning. Upgrades available to sharing apartments or an apartment for sole use.
