How long have you worked for Friendship Travel?

Chantelle

1 year in June, it’s been really interesting with lots to learn

Which FT destinations have you visited?

I have visited the two hotels in Portugal the Oceanus and the new hotel we are introducing in 2015 the Vidamar. Both hotels are great but if you want 5* star luxury the Vidamar is perfect as it has its own private beach, spacious and comfortable rooms and amazing food.  I have also been to Egypt, Dublin, Spain and Zante.

What is your favourite destination of FT?

I would say The Body Holiday even though I haven’t been before I have heard client and colleagues say how great it is so before I finish placement I would love to go to this FT destination.

Favourite holiday read?

My favourite read would be Hush Hush or The Fault in our Stars.

Time at FT Hobbies/Interests

I love booking holidays and travelling so this is the perfect job I can’t wait to be a rep and experience the resorts for myself.

What could you not travel without?

A book as it makes the plane journey far easier and also my iPad so you can sit and watch movies using the airports free Wifi.

Sun or Snow

I would say sun as it is nice to get away from our cold weather

Best thing about working for FT

Talking to the customers. I love speaking to the clients about what holidays they want to travel on and giving them advise if they feel nervous about coming on any of the FT trips maybe if they are first timers.

How long have you worked for Friendship Travel?

2 years

Which Friendship Travel destinations have you visited?

I have visited Turkey (Era Hotel, Forever Hotel, Gulet Cruises) , Mallorca, England (Newbury) and Glasgow.

What is your favourite destination of Friendship Travel?

Mallorca would be my favourite, during my time as a friendship host in Camp De Mar I loved everything about.

Favourite holiday read?

I am not big into books, but a newspaper is always a must for me.

Hobbies/Interests?

My main hobby would be golf, another reason why I loved Mallorca so much. Other interests would be walking and enjoying a nice meal out.

What could you not travel without?

I could not travel without my mobile phone; I would be lost without it!

Sun or Snow?

I would always pick sun, being from Northern Ireland I do not get to see it a lot.

Best thing about working for Friendship Travel?

The best thing for me was working both within the office dealing with all of our guests and helping them pick their perfect holiday and then working as a friendship host and making sure they enjoy all of the elements to their holiday.

How long have you worked for Friendship Travel?

16 years – it’s been great seeing the business grow and meeting lots of happy customers.

Which Friendship Travel destinations have you visited?

I have visited 75% of the destinations we offer in our current brochures. I try and visit every long haul hotel at least once every 3 years, whilst our properties in Europe I visit at least once every 2 years. By doing the hotel contracts myself and meeting with the owners and managers regularly I can ensure are guests are always well looked after. The owners appreciate my visit and catch up over dinner.

What is your favourite destination of Friendship Travel?

Turkey would be my favourite. I started working here years ago for Sovereign Smallworld and fell in love with the country. It’s hard to beat for great food, friendly people and beautiful beaches.

Favourite holiday read?

I am not big into books, but a newspaper is always a must for me.

Hobbies/Interests?

I love a good thriller or six on holiday so definitely something by Mark Billingham or James Patterson.
