Location
Saint Lucia is located in the Windward Islands towards the southern end of the Caribbean chain and is blessed with the cooling Trade winds in the winter months. In true Caribbean style, the town of Castries has a lovely laid back character. The old quarter is filled with colourful colonial architecture, a charming palm-lined square and 17th-century buildings. There are also plenty of restaurants and street vendors dotted around where you can sample traditional Caribbean food.
