Chalet Rostaing & Chalet Lucette

We are delighted to offer the 3* plus Chalet Rostaing and Chalet Lucette in Vaujany area of Alp D’Huez ski area , France. For any repeat guests the Chalet Saskia we used in 2024/5 has been sold for redevelopment.

Our friendly ski weeks include group lessons /ski guiding on five mornings of the week ( levels of lessons is – beginner – intermediate – advanced).  After ski school, we meet for lunch (own expense) and the afternoon is free for you to put your new skills into practice; there is always someone around to ski with.

Our dedicated ski chalet hosts can get you organised with lift pass, ski school and any equipment you need to hire and has lots of information about the best spot for lunch or the quieter pistes for afternoon skiing.

The Friendship Travel Chalet Hosts are at your disposal on 5 1/2 days of the week. Ski hire packs start at €125 and do not need to be booked in advance.

Our board basis is half board with dinner included on 5 nights. Breakfast is buffet style and will include bread, jam, cereals, yoghurts, patisseries and hot egg option each day. An afternoon tea of freshly baked biscuits or cake will be waiting for you when you get back from the slopes and then you can relax until dinner time. Dinner is 3 courses including ½ bottle of wine and finishing with coffee.

The host will have one and 1/2 well deserved full days off each week, this gives an opportunity for you to try local restaurants and our in resort team will be more than happy to book a table somewhere for you. On the hosts full day off breakfast and afternoon tea will be left for you.

As this is an exclusive Ski Chalet Houseparty we can offer flexibility on flights, many options from regional airports as well as London Gatwick. Ask us for details.

Chalet Rostaing & Chalet Lucette are 2 chalets side by side in this beautiful, traditional resort. They are owned by Ski Peak based in the UK. 

NEWS – Heavy snow forecast on the 7 and 8 Jan 2026.

The 10 rooms are a mix of doubles, twins and triples priced for single occupancy, but with the flexibility to offer some twin-share accommodation. They have either ensuite shower/wc or an adjacent shared bathroom. All bathrooms with a bath, have an overhead shower attachment also. 

Both chalets have, in addition, a welcoming TV lounge with open, wood fire, ski room and boot warmer and every evening we all come together round one table for meals. A bonus is WiFi so you can update your social media pages with snowy pictures! Guests will eat all meals in the Chalet Rostaing. 

We have also included 5 x 2 hour private, small group lessons and you can choose from 3 levels – beginner, intermediate or advanced. These are great way to improve your skiing and the instructor will guide you around the slopes.

New for 2026 – A private minibus service to the main ski lift and lessons meeting point will run every morning from the chalet, exclusively for Friendship Travel guests.

Standard adult, 6 day lift pass price starts at €320 and can be pre-booked with Friendship Travel.

All of the bedrooms are tastefully decorated, some large and some smaller and all have a windows – (some chalets in France don’t!).

You will have a choice of double or twin rooms for sole occupancy. Some of the rooms will have an ensuite and some will have a shared toilet. All baths have an overhead shower attachment. 

There is also the option to share a twin room if you wish – saving up to £350 per person.

How does a ‘Twin Share’ room work?

We offer a room as a Twin Share basis to increase the total number of guests in the Chalet and also to offer some reduced prices spaces for guests to join. The room is allocated to one sex or the other, depending who books first, they are all non smoking (as is all the chalet), and both guests have their own space and storage in the room. On a ski holiday you spend very little time in your room, therefore a Twin Share option is a great way to save money – use the saving to pay for your lift pass.
