Vietnam has been nominated for a World Travel Award in Asia’s Leading Destination 2017 category.

With Vietnam targeting huge tourism figures by 2020, this popular destination for solo holidays is only on the rise. So it comes as no surprise to see the country rewarded by being nominated among nine other nominees for Asia’s top travel destination.

Also making the list for the prestigious travel award are China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam. Despite the top competition, Vietnam stands good a chance as any to take home the prize.

Vietnam has also been nominated in various other categories for this year’s awards, including Leading Beach Destination, Festival and Event Destination, and City Break Destination.

Voting is currently closed for 2017’s Asia categories but there is still time to cast your ballot in many of the world’s other destinations.
