Christmas in Newbury
We are delighted to offer a fun, stress-free Christmas event back at The Double Tree by Hilton, Newbury. Rooms will be ready from 3pm onwards but guests can arrive at their leisure.
Double Tree by Hilton Hotel
Attractively set in the Berkshire countryside, this modern 4-star hotel features a sauna, steam room and a heated indoor pool. The hotel bar will be newly refurbished in Summer 2023. There is on-site car parking (£5 per day- payable to reception) and complimentary WiFi.
The hotels leisure facilities will be open each day over Christmas, with reduced hours on Christmas Day.

Standard rooms have double or twin beds, TV, tea & coffee facilities, hairdryer and complimentary toiletries in the bathroom.
Upgrade to a deluxe room which includes a later checkout, upgraded amenities, bath robe and slippers for an extra £20 per night.

Itinerary
Christmas Eve
Arrive in time for tea, coffee, Christmas cake and mince pies served between 3 and 4pm, then later we will all meet for a 3-course buffet dinner (with half bottle of wine) and disco. Dress code is smart casual.
Christmas Day
Breakfast, then relax and prepare for a festive lunch with wine (served starter and dessert, with carvery main course). Afterwards you might want to work that off with a stroll around the local area before we test your knowledge with our quiz. The evening meal will be soup and sandwiches selection.
Boxing Day
Enjoy the full works at breakfast, then you are free to explore. Some options include a drive to Newbury for some shopping, a walk around Donnington Castle or lunch at a local restaurant. If you decide to stay at the hotel, why not make use of the hotels excellent leisure facilities or relax in the lounge bar. This evening will be a Black Tie Ball (3-course meal with half bottle of wine) and disco so make sure you get the glad rags on!

A leisurely breakfast before departure.
Location
The hotel is 4 miles from central Newbury and sits just off the M4 motorway. The nearest railway station is Newbury and a taxi from here to the hotel will cost £10-£15. The countryside is on the doorstep: Donnington Castle, Welford Park and Newbury Racecourse are all a short drive away. If flying – Heathrow airport offers buses to Reading and an onward train to Newbury.
