Kenya
Kenya, the original safari destination, is the best place on earth to see African wildlife, and we combine this with relaxing on the beach by the Indian Ocean. 2025 new updated itinerary includes first class train journey.
Our Kenyan based host and camp staff will make sure you get the best experience on your holiday sharing their knowledge of the animals and their natural environment. After flying to Nairobi we will travel a short distance to Eka Hotel for some “down time” after the flights and before your safari experience commences. Expect to see buffalo, elephants, crocodiles and much more! Your adventure includes staying at the Voyager Ziawani tented camp, Kilaguni Serena Lodge and Ngutuni Lodge before travelling to Papillon Lagoon Reef Hotel to relax before journeying home.
As of January 2024 all travellers need to purchase an ‘Electronic Travel Authorisation.’ This is a quick and easy process and must be done online before you travel. We suggest it is arranged at least 3 to 4 weeks before departure.
British Airways business class flights and regional connections are available on all dates – ask for more details.
If you live in the USA or Canada – we have direct flights available to Kenya. Ask for further details and prices in dollars.
The Hotels
We commence our journey staying at the modern Eka Hotel Nairobi a short drive from the international airport.
Ngutuni Lodge on Tsava East National Park, is en-suite with “makuti” rooms and overlooks the watering hole. A great spot for wildlife photographs of all of the animals drawn to there.
Voyager Ziwani tented camp is set in a private sanctuary on the edge of Tsavo West National Park, fully furnished and en-suite, with restaurant and rustic bar.
Kilaguni Serena Lodge is a tranquil, hushed and cook property framed by Mount Kilimanjaro and the rolling volcanic landscapes of the deep green Chyulu Hills.
Our final hotel is the recently refurbished Papillon Lagoon Reef Hotel situated at Diani Beach on all inclusive. The facilities are modern and luxurious with a pool swim up bar, water sports centre and international restaurant.
Extend – your beach stay. You can add 2 or 3 more nights at the Beach Hotel to extend the holiday to be 10 or 11 days. Ask for details.

Day 2
After breakfast you visit the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage with a chance to meet the orphans and listen to the elephant keepers. You then continue to the Nairobi National Park for a 90 minutes game drive. This park is home to black rhino, lions, leopards, buffalo, giraffe and over 400 bird species. After a packed lunch we transfer to Nairobi train station to take the 15.00 hours express train to Voi Railway station ( travelling in First Class). On the train journey you can enjoy amazing views of the Kenyan Savannah en route to Tsavo East National park. On arrival you transfer (4km) to the Ngutuni Lodge for a overnight stay with dinner included.
Day 3
After breakfast we set out on a morning game drive in the 10,000 acre game sanctuary in Tsavo East National Park. Return to Ngutuni Lodge for lunch and then continue our drive (130 Kms) to Ziwani Tented Camp located close to Tanzania. Check-in and enjoy watching wildlife which come to the lake infront of the camp or take a guided nature walk. Around dusk we set out on a night game drive and hope to spot some of Africa’s shyer nocturnal animals like small cats, hyena, porcupine, hippo and leopard. Dinner at the camp and campfire experience.
Day 4
Breakfast followed by a guided nature walk around the lake shore. The walk lasts approximately 60 minutes and no special footware is needed. Depart and transfer (55km) to Kilaguni Serena Lodge stopping enroute if we see any interesting wildlife. Lunch at Kilaguni Serena followed by an afternoon game drive in Tsavo West including the Mzima Springs where if we are lucky, we may see hippo ‘moon waking’ on the river bed. Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5
After an early breakfast our safari leaves Tsavo West and head south to Mombasa (305km), with toilet and refreshment stops, then you will be dropped at Papillon Lagoon Reef Hotel in time for a late lunch. Dinner and relax at the hotel on a all-inclusive basis.

We take a flight to Nairobi airport and then check-in for our BA International flight to London Heathrow.
Day 9
Arrive back into London Heathrow in the morning. Regional connections to Scotland, Manchester or Ireland are available.
Location
Nairobi is an eight and a half hour flight from Heathrow, with Mombasa an easy one hour flight from Nairobi. Kenya is only two hours ahead of the UK. Being close to the equator, there’s little difference between winter and summer temperatures. Tsavo national parks are at a higher altitude so a little cooler.
Helen and Karen from the UK office have both done this trip and had an amazing time! Give them a call with any queries or for more details.
