This city break includes 3 nights in the famous city of Istanbul and 3 nights stay in the scenic and picturesque Cappadocia.

Combining the hustle and bustle of Istanbul with the views and outstanding beauty of the UNESCO world heritage site of Cappadocia, this is a city break of contrasts, offering you a unique experience to discover both.

The Hotels

Our first hotel on this city break is the 4-star Hotel Sumengen, a converted Ottoman Mansion situated along the banks of the Bosphorus Strait, a few minutes from the Blue Mosque. You can enjoy the panoramic views of the Marmara Sea while having meals at the restaurant.

Our second hotel is the Yusuf Yigitoglu Konagi Hotel, a 4-star distinctive hotel set in a prime location in the centre of Urgup. Located close to Churches, Museums and the Goreme Historical National Park everything is within easy reach.

Your Room

Hotel Sumengen: The spacious rooms are decorated in the Ottoman style with handmade, Turkish rugs.

Yusuf Yigitoglu Konagi Hotel: All rooms and suites at Yusuf Yigitoglu Konagi come with a private bathroom and modern amenities.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Istanbul and transfer to the hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant (payable locally).

Day 2

After breakfast enjoy a full day tour: This day will be a tour on foot at the nearby famous sites of Istanbul with a lunch stop on route. Hagia Sophia Mosque, Sultan Ahmet Mosque, Hippodrome Square, Topkapi Palace (entrance included) then return to the hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant (payable locally).

Day 3

After breakfast enjoy a full day tour: With private transport visits will be made to Dolmabahce Palace (entrance included), view Galata Tower (if renovations finished, entry can be optional extra), Egyptian SpiceBazaar, Sultan Suleyman Mosque, then back to the hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant (payable locally).

Optional extra charge : Boat Trip on the Bosphorus. Galata Tower entry.

Day 4

After breakfast free time at leisure and then transfer to the airport. Arrive at Kayseri airport and transfer to the hotel, free time.

Optional: Whirling Dervish Ceremony

Day 5

After breakfast, Full day tour. Pick up from hotel for highlights of Cappadocia: Goreme open-air museum, the largest and most interesting complex rock churches carved in volcanic tuff, with wonderful frescos, mostly from the 11th century, a visit to the Uchisar hill from where there is a panoramic view of Cappadocia and finally visiting one of the underground cities. Back to the hotel for dinner.

Optional: Balloon flight over Cappadocia, Turkish Night Show with drinks – pick up from hotel after dinner.

Ortahisar castle

Day 6

After breakfast: Pick up from hotel for half day tour: Pigeon Valley, Göreme Valley panorama & Ortahisar castle and old town, visit local pottery store. Free time and Dinner at Hotel (included).

Day 7

After breakfast free time at leisure then transfer to the Kayseri airport (depending on domestic flight time from Kayseri).

Location

Istanbul is the most populous European city and we can understand why with its timeless charm and rich history. The city is full of numerous architectural wonders and remnants of ancient empires, still standing tall in the heart of the city.

Cappadocia is famous for its remarkable landscape and rock formations. Home to the World Heritage Site of Goreme National Park which can be enjoyed from above with a Hot Air Balloon tour.
